Above: I ran a three-mile race the morning of the Ag Fair. I'm the one with the white legs. :) I ended up getting second place.
It was also fun to judge vegetables, pictures, desserts, etc in the fair. The largest cabbage was nearly 40 pounds! The biggest turnip was the size of my head. I was also encouraged to get "honorable mention" for a picture of the girls I entered for a contest. There were also door prizes after the events and everyone in our family won something.
They had canoe races on Alexander Lake after the race.
The girls got to tag along on one of the races.
