Bear Sausage Casserole ~

Some friends gave us bear sausage which I cooked and put in a casserole. The girls, Brad and I really enjoyed it.
We have become accustomed to a new way of shopping----
Ruthie: Mommy, do we have any Cheerios?
Mommy: No sweetheart, we ran out. I can order them online next time we go shopping.
Ruthie: When will that be?
Mommy: When we have enough items on our list to receive free shipping from Amazon.
Ruthie: So no Cheerios tomorrow?
Mommy: Maybe next month we'll get some.
Ruthie: Okay.
The nice thing about this scenario is that the girls (and I) are getting used to not getting what we want right away (probably harder for me than them). :)

Below: A typical basketball game with our baby-loving daughters. They gravitate toward babies at every game!

Our sink pipes are still frozen in the bathroom and kitchen sink. When finishing up with dishes I must first fill a bucket half full (1)...

...then fill another bigger bucket (2)...

...and dump the water outside in -40 temperatures (3). I must repeat steps 1-3 about four times. Then besides putting away the dishes I am finished with that chore.

Below: The girls and I practicing church-time (ie. sitting still for 1/2 hour or so). We do this everyday and Naomi is already improving in the area of sitting quietly with us at church.

Ruthie's prayer the other day:

"Thank you for Mommy, a warm bed, for this food and a working toilet."

Naomi's prayer the other day:

"Please keep baby Carrie safe."

Apparently reading Little House on the Prairie has captured Nae's heart enough that she feels the need to pray for the characters in the book. I guess in the last chapter we read that Laura and Mary's family were traveling West into dangerous territory...so I understand Nae's feeling responsible to pray for their safety. :)

Below: A package from my parents included this can of green beans. I guess we now have four cans in our pantry!
