A friend downriver is leaving his village and sold his skiff boat to Martin for a fair price of $1! So Martin and Silke were kind enough to take us out on their new boat to look for firewood.

We've been watching the movie series "The Torchlighters," with the girls. One of the girl's favorites is
Perpetua. After they watch it they usually start pretending they are Perpetua and Felicity. Ruthie likes to be Perpetua and by default Nae gets to be Felicity (they both like to be Perpetua). I am elected to play the proconsul and have to be the one to force them into the arena. When I ask them if they will deny Christ they both scream, "No!" I like that part. It's been good for the girls to understand that Christ is worthy enough to die for.

Naomi calls moose "moo-cows."

The girls also have been playing
Gladys Aylward. They line up their dolls and stuffed animals and tell their "kids" that they will get there soon and not to despair...God will provide!

The Yukon River.

We saw lots of moose tracks.

Lately Ruthie's been asking us about Heaven and Hell. She once asked how a soul gets to Heaven if the person dies inside a house...she asked, "Will they make a hole in the ceiling to get there?"

Below: A baby moo-cow track and mama moo-cow track. :)

I attempted to teach the girls how to crochet.
