Eating Red Apples ~

It's rained about every day we've been here. It's been warm but rains about once a day...the girls love it! They also like playing with their new friend who lives across the road (they play in the dirt together).

At family devotions one night Brad was talking about the Old Testament sacrifices made. Afterward Ruthie asked, "Did they sacrifice hippos? What about dogs and porcipines?"

Lately the girls have been playing with their new dogs (seen below). They walk them, feed them, and clean up after them. It's been great as a mom because they get all the benefits of having a puppy, but without the mom having to do anything! But I am wondering if this is their big hint to us that we should get a puppy. :)
Below: Nae's petting her sled dog. Lately, Ruthie's been taking her dog on sled dog races.
We are still staying at the parsonage. The repairman is suppose to fly in sometime to fix our stove and bathtub.
Below: If you look at Nae's right eye you might be able to tell it's swollen and red. The neighbor's dog got off it's rope and jumped on her. She's just at the wrong height for that wild dog!
The girls like Mister Martin and Miss Silke. They like playing with them after our weekly prayer meetings.
We were SO excited to eat an apple. The girls (and I) have missed fruit very much. The local store here sells fruit but it's a bit expensive (nearly $3/pound). So we've tried to be conservative with fruit. But I heard a rumor a care package with dried fruit is being sent our way...we are anxiously awaiting.
Nae's response to the care package coming: Hoorah!
