The girls and I attempted the "Iditaread" this year. The girls each picked a musher and we tried to read as many pages as miles the musher went per day. Currently we are ahead of the girl's mushers. They chose the twin girl mushers...unfortunately we weren't able to meet them because it was during church when they arrived in our village.

The girls are responsible to wash their hands after using the restroom and when I asked Ruthie why she didn't do so on one occasion during the night she said, "I didn't want to wake up my dear sister." I give her points on thoughtfulness. :)

I like how Brad has fixed his working gloves...if there's one thing you need in the bush it's duct tape.

Since Brad was leaving for a few days I needed to learn how to start a fire and work the woodstove. Can you tell I was excited?

To my surprise I actually enjoyed manning the woodstove.
