Before we leave the house we pray as a family and Ruthie's prayer one afternoon was, "Please keep Gladys Alyward safe and please help Nae not to cry. Amen."
We are trying to teach the girls the habit of thankfulness (something we're learning) so when I asked Ruthie what she was thankful for she stated, "Craft time, water and that I don't have cancer." After asking Nae what she was thankful for her selfless response was, "Me."
Below: A man in the village is deaf and his wife teaches a sign langauge class each Tuesday. It ended last week and won't start up again until the Spring. The girls loved going each week and according to Ruthie are "excited to talk to Mr. A. now"
Below: We went to our first basketball game!
We were listening to a song and Ruthie said, "Mommy, you know what this song remembers me of? Montana!"
Naomi fell down and through her tears she cried, "That hurt my feelings!"
The girls watched part of Narnia and the next day Ruthie wanted to watch it again. She said she wanted to see the movie where "the lady gives candy to the boy in her snowmobile." :)
Below: We took a family trip on our snow-go...you can't see the girls in this picture but they are sandwiched between us.
We ran out of chips (Brad really likes chips) so we ordered more on Amazon...once we finally got them here I put a bag on the table and Nae exclaimed, "Praise the Lord!" Apparently her and her daddy have the same taste in food. :)
Please pray that our boiler will get fixed. Currently it turns off randomly and we need it running this winter to heat up our pipes, etc.
The Yukon has stopped and there are huge ice chunks on it now.
After the time change the sun now rises between 10:30am and 11:00am, and sets around 4pm. Last night we took our family walk in zero degree weather. Brad wore a headlamp which helped in the darkness.
