Above: The first official snow day...not much to brag about. :)
We finally got to see the Northern Lights.
Sunday morning we woke up to this sight. Ruthie looked outside and said, "Winter's here!" Then she continued to ask us, "Is it winter at Cara's (their friend) house? Is it winter at the church? Is it winter at Finn's house?"
Nae might be considered a strong-willed child, which we love about her. When she asks a question she won't take "not right now" or "pretty soon." For example, she wanted to know when she could hold baby Naomi and we responded with a casual, "When you're older." She continued to ask multiple times and finally we said, "When you're 22." She was content with that answer. Now Brad and my response to her questions about "when" is: When you're 22 years old. So watch out because when Nae's 22 she can hold babies, eat hard candy, drive the car, chew gum, use the computer, turn on the CD player, put on her own gloves, etc.
Below: Grandma Cheryl sent a great hands-on project for Ruthie's birthday present...a tomato plant and a flower. The girls get excited to wake up and see how much their flower/plant has grown overnight.
A missionary pilot was" flying through" and surprised us with KFC and Coscto grapes...what a treat!
