We just returned from a road trip to Colorado. We shared at a missions conference at a supporting church there. Cheryl was able to come with us too, which was nice and helpful. Unfortunately she got the flu during this trip so I'm not sure how nice it was for her at the end.
One morning at a hotel's continental breakfast Ruthie noticed a baby...she immediately stated, "I want one!"
Are we crazy? Letting our girls dress so summer-ish in such winter-ish weather! :)

We ate dinner at Casa Bonita (FYI: Enlarge photo to notice Ruthie's "excitement" for being there). It was pretty loud with guns shooting and people diving into the water. Naomi just sat there, a bit tense and nervous, and said matter-a-factly, "Too loud...I like it. Too loud...I like it."
We took a couple hours to stop at Focus on the Family. The girls enjoyed running around and being out of the van. It was neat because we ended up seeing friends from Montana. Small world!
My handsome. He's strong.
Cheryl loves babies. I think she wants us to have another one. ;)
Nae loves dogs!
Brad was cutting up Naomi's breakfast. He must have been going too slow because Nae said encouragingly, "C'mon baby..."
Cheryl and her friend Janette. The girls loved Fred and Janette.
We also were able to visit a church Brad grew up in...his dad pastored it years ago.
Scenario: Passing a herd of buffalo alongside the van.Brad: Ruthie and Naomi, look at the buffalo!
Ruthie: Oh. I have some of those.
Brad: Hmm...what do you feed them?
Ruthie: Grasshoppers.

I noticed a bug crawling dangerously close to my pillow. Before I could yell for Brad to rescue me (he's my hero), Naomi grabbed a tissue and squished that bug! Way to go Nae!
On the way home Ruthie was whining and apparently I was having a hard time because she declared, "Mama, you're having trouble with me." Yes, I was little mam, yes I was. :)

We attended my grandpa's funeral a couple hours from where Brad shared on Sunday.
I'm glad we were able to make it.
I was able to share at the funeral and got to read my brother's memories of my grandpa too (since he is overseas).
Below: This is the pastor's wife and daughter. This pastor was the one who God used to share the Gospel with my grandpa.

Bedtime Bible reading.
