My grandpa went to be with the Lord yesterday. Here's the amazing story of how God saved him: My mom and our family had been praying for his salvation for years. Then one day a random pastor from a local Bible church was walking by my grandpa's house. Later he told us he felt the Lord leading him to knock on my grandpa's door. After that day the pastor came every Monday to visit my grandpa and share the Gospel. Eventually he repented of his sin and turned to Christ! It was amazing to see the changes God was doing in my grandpa. He was a new man...and he died a new man in Christ.
Dear Heavenly Father, Thank you for being sovereign. Thank you for leading a brother in Christ to come share the Gospel with my grandpa. Thank you for giving my family a peace that he is with You right now. May you use my grandpa's life to bring others to Christ and bring You glory. In Jesus Name I pray, Amen.
Above: My grandpa didn't have kid toys so when we visited him he brought out a candle, lit it and had the girls blow it out. This continued for a long time. Hey, it entertained them and they'll never forget their Grandpa Harnish. :)
