Family Walks ~

It's been warm here so we spend most of our time outside now. We've enjoyed going on family walks most every night.

Grandpa and Grandma came to visit while we were in Laurel.

They pretty much did "most of the work" while at the park. We just sat down as they toned their muscles pushing the girls back and forth, back and forth.
We recently took Ruthie's binky away (she used it while sleeping). The first night she asked for it and I said, "Ruthie, two year olds don't need a binky." She thought about this for a bit and then replied, "I'm one!"
Naomi's been winking a lot lately. Once she realized how cute it was, she continued to wink the rest of the day.

Ruthie was reciting some verses one night and we thought she might enjoy "teaching" Grandma Shilloy her most recent verse. My mom played along and learned it slowly...but not before Ruthie looked at Brad sympathetically and said, "This is hard for Grandma."

Brad: Ruthie, should we go to the pet store today?
Ruthie: We don't HAVE to go to the pet store, we NEED to go to the pet store!
The girls aren't fond of their carseats. This is ironic because we travel so much one would think they would get used to it. Well, toward the end of one trip Ruthie was crying and tired from being strapped in for so long, and she cried out, "Mommy, I need Jesus to help me! I need you to pray for me!" This is sweet and cute, but our prayer is that the girls will always desire Christ and look to Him always.

Here's my haircut, Elizabeth.

When we go to Walmart, Naomi will sometimes look at us and simply wave and say, "Ba, ba (translation: bye bye)!" Then she'll run away from us as if to say, "Thanks for bringing me here, but adios...I've got things to discover!"
This is how we found Naomi once after lunch. No one was around and the situation appeared childproof, but the evidence in the below photo proves otherwise. She really wanted those strawberries!
Ruthie also likes to climb things. This situation had a spotter though (aka me). :)
