Traveling Conversations ~

Since I vacuum our van about every day (I like traveling clean), Ruthie now points out vacuums while we're driving along...it's a very helpful trait I've taught her.

When we told Ruthie we were going to visit Becky (a friend), Ruthie said, "What kind of Becky?" I replied, "Not Mike and Becky, but Michigan Becky." Ruthie whined and cried for a few miles saying, "I want Tommy's Becky! I want Tommy's Becky!"

Nae's been pointing out "uh ohs (her version of a boo boo)" on herself and others. It's kinda awkward when she randomly runs up to someone's leg and says "uh oh" to any flaw she sees.

When Nae sees her binky she declares, "Yummy!"

Ruthie was asking questions about my ring. I mentioned to her that when she gets married her husband will give her a ring too. She asked me who her husband was...I said I didn't know but that I was sure he was "godly, handsome and nice." Immediately she said with a big smile, "Daddy!" When I told her it wasn't her daddy she got sad and told me she didn't want to be married.

At our conference Brad and I were able to spend a "day alone with God" as part of the schedule. When I told Ruthie that, she said (pointing to the ceiling), "Are you going to meet with Him up there?"

Naomi has quite a personality. To get an idea of her cuteness but yet sinful nature:
we're at a McDonald's playplace,
Nae's been told not to climb up the slide,
therefore Nae slides partway down ,
you can begin to hear her grind her hands to slowly stop herself,
gets far enough down to see us but far enough away that we can't get her,
then she climbs up the slide to do that all over again
while laughing the whole time.
