Current Mileage, 5000 ~

So we're still traveling! The girls did a good job and we're impressed by their demeanor while being strapped for hours in carseats. They have exactly ten books and four toys each (I counted them to monitor any lost items during our voyage). Below is a picture of us before taking off for Michigan.

When we got to our first conference both Ruthie and Nae had fevers. I missed the first day of sessions (and I was SO tired from being stuck inside one bedroom all day). I felt bad for the girls with being sick and trying to adjust to our two-week conference.

Brad at one of the sessions.
Sometimes at night we would bring dessert to our room and have a picnic.

Miss Hannah, the girl's friend and a great helper, played with the girls a lot.

Mad: Love, where did Nae go?
Brad: Not sure. She can't get too far (since we're all in one room).
Below is the answer to our question.

We had a free day on Saturday so we took the girls to the Rainforest Cafe.

When we weren't in meetings the girls enjoyed playing in the pool.

Ruthie loved playing with Miss Amanda. It was also nice because Miss Amanda babysat for us one night. Thanks Amanda! :)

Caught red-handed! Ruthie's applying my chapstick secretly in the closet!

SEND International held a dedication service for us at the end of our two weeks there.

[Mad is thinking] Wow, I married a cute man!

A class picture.

Our good friends...they were at last year's conference with us too. Marcia's nice but Mark always tried to steal my seat (way in the back right corner...I can observe and have no commitment to partcipate in the session by talking aloud). :)

Our whole group.

Our Shepherding Group.

We lost electricity the second to last day there. Our room was humid, hot and sticky so the girls stayed up till ten that night playing with us outside. We were blessed to see our friend after the conference. Check out this neat swing she made for the girls. Pretty creative.

I enjoyed our visit and wish we could have stayed longer. While leaving Ruthie said she wanted to stay and not leave.
Brad showed me around his college campus a couple days ago.
Brad said he would sit on this bench at night and pray for his wife (aka me) during his college days...it made my heart skip a beat when I heard that.

Brad's cousin, Jason.

At our second conference we stayed at a college dorm. Dorms aren't usually childproof, and as you can see the girls figured that out fast.
Our family has been in one room for the past month...we're getting familiar with flexibility.

Ruthie's other friend, Miss Amanda.
