Nae's been throwing her binky out of the pack n' play at night, then crying. When I give it back to her she waves to me and says, "Bye bye." Maybe it's becoming too routine :)When we were traveling last week we heard Ruthie reciting her verses to Nae...I think she was on Psalm 121: 1-2. I love when she recites that one because it's so cute when she "lifts her eyes to the hills."
Nae's been shrugging her shoulders a lot lately, as if she just discovered they were there.
We were at a playground and before I could realize what was happening Naomi grabbed someone's McDonald's drink and was sipping it. I never saw who's it was but I nonchalantly replaced the cup near the location I discovered the incident. Oops to that person, sorry.
Nursery tip for parents with an energetic toddler: Dress the toddler in tight pants and then you can sit in church comfortably knowing your child isn't climbing on any furniture, kids, bookshelves, cribs, etc. Yes, Naomi's been known to do this :)
Last Sunday the nursery worker ended up being alone with eight toddlers/babies...Ruthie announced she had to go potty so the worker sent her out toward the bathroom (which was on the other side of the building). Apparently the worship leader's wife found Ruthie walking around the church half naked! Now you can understand the tip in the above paragraph...we have to be prepared for everything at our church :)
The guest speaker at church talked about mothers and parenting...he mentioned that children don't come with an "instruction manual." After church I asked Ruthie where she kept her instruction manual...she responded, "Here, it's in my belly!"
I sat down for breakfast one morning and Ruthie declared, "I like you!" And I like that statement :)
For Mother's day Ruthie kept saying, "Mama, I'm celebrating you."
We are teaching Ruthie to say, "May I...?" In the car I had her say, "May I listen to a kid CD?" When I brought out her CD she said, "Is that the May I?" Then when she asked politely for some pretzels, when I got them for her she said, "Is that the May I?"
