~ Brad and I took a few days to camp in the Beartooth Mountains this last week.
~ As you can tell by the pictures, our tent was a bit small...it was smaller than a twin mattress. Brad told me I woke up one night and was gasping, "Let me out of here, I have to get out!" Then I proceeded in zipping open the tent and putting my face out to breathe...then I plopped back in my sleeping bag and went back to sleep. I don't recall much of that incident but it's pretty funny. I do remember saying that I felt claustrophobic before going to bed. :)
~ We went on a ten-mile hike the day after setting up camp.
~ The hike was pretty easy but the last mile was very steep with a lot of switchbacks.
~ The lake at the top was beautiful! We couldn't capture it's beauty with just a camera. God is amazing!
~ The last five miles a storm followed us and we were soaked by the time we got back to camp.
~ Our sleeping bags were wet so we thought it might be fun to go into town one night, eat dinner and rent a hotel room.
~ I was cold coming down the mountain so Brad offered me his shirt...I thought it was warrior-like of him to do so, but figured it might not be appropriate for him to hike with no shirt on. :)
~ We had a great time and can't wait to go back with the girls!
