She likes to read...she has two favorite books. One is the Berenstain Bears book called "The Road Race." Once we get to the page (pictured above) of the green driver, Ruthie shouts, "Papa!" At first I wasn't sure why she declared such a statement since this driver is "green and mean," but then I figured out it was because of his mustache. So don't worry Dad...she still loves you and doesn't think you're mean :)
The other book she likes is about Elisha and the widow with the pots of oil...she reads that over and over again. She calls it the "Bowl Book." Somehow she correlates pots with bowls, hence the name :)
She likes playing Scratch with her gampoo and gamoo (aka grandpa and grandma).
When we put her down for nap she will say "kiss" and "hug."
She likes to tell everyone what her daddy does for work...she'll say, "Daddy, tractor!"
She always asks to give Huli (the dog) a bone.
Ruthie eats ice cubes ALL day long...we have a baby food dispenser thing and we put ice cubes in it and she walks around just sucking on it all day.
She's learning a couple words in Indonesian.
Ruthie loves dancing to music and can't keep herself from tapping her foot while in the car listening to music.
She's terrified of "hoppers" and flies...we tell her to say, "Shoo fly, don't bother me," but instead she'll let out a shriek and then say, "Shoo fly!"
Naomi:
She had her first foods the other day, sweet potatoes.
She crawls really good around the house.
She smiles and laughs at her sister.
When we change her diaper it's hard to keep her still because she's squirming around trying to grab everything.
Naomi has two bottom teeth with another couple coming in on the top.
